Welcome to the 2024 Gates Summer Internship Program (GSIP)


GSIP encourages outstanding undergraduates to consider careers in biomedical research in an academic or industry setting by providing state-of-the-art training opportunities at the Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine.

The 2024 program will run from Tuesday, May 21, to Friday, August 9, 2024. Applicants from all backgrounds who are enrolled in a science-related major in an undergraduate program at the time of application are encouraged to apply. 

For internship consideration, all applications are due by Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. MT and must include the following documents: 

  1. Two letters of recommendation – Applicants will be prompted to provide the name and valid email address of two references to generate reference requests. At least one of the recommendations should be from a previous or current science professor.
  2. CV or Resume – Applicants should detail their experience, academic background, research, awards, publications, presentations, community service, skills, and credentials.
  3. Unofficial Transcript(s) – Applicants should upload a copy of their unofficial transcript. Please note that official transcripts may be required upon acceptance.
